A little more about me!
I am a Colorado native, lived in Indiana for four years, and moved to the Wichita area two years ago! My faith is the foundation for who I am. I am a busy stay at home mother of two, a 7-year-old and a 3-year-old. I have been married to a wonderful guy for 10 years! The Caffeinated Camera was born from my ridiculous picture taking habits, always seeing and seizing a moment! After buying another SD card for my phone, (I literally had over 3,000 pictures a few times over, ha!) I asked my husband if he thought this was a career I should pursuit……Duh! It was a no brainer decision! I am also terrible caffeine addict, hahaha, (gimme all the coffee) thus, The Caffeinated Camera. Has a nice ring to it, right?! I love new places, hiking, and adventure. Fall is my favorite season, the weather, the leaves, FOOTBALL! Most of the time, you can find me baking with the kids or chasing after my kids, ha! or having a glass of wine and watching movies with my husband after the kiddos are asleep.
In the craziness of life, so often we forget to pause and reflect on those closest to us. That’s where I come in! Have you ever experienced a moment you wish would slow down? Like how soon those little toes outgrew their shoes, or how in the world are you in high school already?! Or even just marking those special milestones in your relationships! Best friends? Engaged? Anniversary? That’s what I do! Let me help you make something that will last forever, a moment never lost, a piece of time you can hold on to! I love helping my clients get the very best out of their session and I never want to rush through them. These are treasures for your family, and I want to make sure it’s everything you hoped for. Not every session goes to plan, kids will be kids, and that’s OK! That’s where your family is at this point in time, baby, toddler, young child, it’s OK! They aren’t little forever, and we will do the best we can to capture as many authentic moments and loved shared between you as possible! Besides, sometimes the candid photos are the ones you didn’t know you needed!
I am not a “just get it done" photographer. I value my clients and their family needs. No one is just another family, just another dollar. I wouldn't want someone viewing my family that way, and I definitely don't ever want my clients to feel as just someone else! This is your story we get to tell, and to be apart of that is an incredible honor!
I had no idea when The Caffeinated Camera started, just how much I would love what I do! It was my goal this year to grow, spiritually and business wise, learn as much as I could to grow into the kind of business and person I want to be. I am constantly learning and trying new things, creatively and building my knowledge of photography as much as I can. I can hardly believe it but thus far, we have been published 17x in various photography magazines! I am incredibly humbled and amazed, and I hope we can grow even more from those accomplishments! I am so grateful to everyone that has supported me and my business! It’s not an easy road by any means, but oh, so worth it!
